PROLOTHERAPY

Prolotherapy is an injection technique for damaged or weakened ligaments and tendons, to stimulate the body's natural healing response and promote repair.

If you or someone you know has looseness of one or more joints or has EDS (Ehlers Danlos) it is important to get the joints evaluated. Joints can be loose from a hypermobile syndrome like EDS, Marfan’s Syndrome or from Benign Hypermobile Joint Syndrome or from sprains that did not totally heal. If a joint is lax or loose it can lead to pain, muscle spasm, trigger points and degeneration of the joint as in Osteoarthritis or it can lead to disc injury or nerve impingement if it is a spinal joint.

Prolotherapy is an injection technique to strengthen loose ligaments and to strengthen the joint capsule. It can increase the collagen and fibroblast content that cannot be achieved with supplements or oral collagen. It can even work if you have EDS. Dr. Musnick has been administering Prolotherapy injections for nearly 30 years and is skilled in all joint areas of the body. He is especially skilled with Cervical (neck), shoulders, ribs, hips, knees, elbows, sacroiliac and foot/ankle joints. EDS patients may benefit with additions to the regular Dextrose solution. Schedule a consult evaluation today to determine if you are a candidate for Prolotherapy injections.
