About The Package:

The Myers Cocktail IV is a blend of Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Vitamin C, and B Vitamins. A Myers Cocktail helps replenish nutrients intracellularly, which makes it an effective treatment for fatigue, improved immunity, helps fight and prevent infections, increases energy and improves overall performance! During the treatment, Mom can listen to music, read a book, or simply enjoy the experience!

Mom will detox, relax, and rejuvenate every cell in her body in our Infrared Sauna with a private 25-minute session. Benefits of infrared sauna usage include detoxification, heart health, weight loss, muscle recovery, immunity, skin health, anti-aging and relaxation!

Lastly, after all that Mom does 'round the clock, soaking her feet in an Ionic Foot Bath is a relaxing 30-minute detox to support her body’s detox pathways as it removes heavy metals and other toxins. This year, give Mom the gift of relaxation, health and wellness at Functional Medicine of Idaho!

DISCLAIMERS

IV Therapy should not be done on the same day as the Infrared Sauna Session and Ionic Foot Bath.

Requirements for IV Therapy

1. Review of medical conditions, contraindications, cautions, and a current medication list by an FMI provider.
2. Current blood tests reviewed by an FMI clinic provider to approve you for safe administration and optimal benefit.
3. Review of the prep/post IV instructions with a nurse or a provider.

Prepping for IV Therapy

1. Make sure to hydrate!! Minimum of 1 liter (4 cups) of water prior to AM IV appointment, 2 liters (8 cups) prior to PM IV appointment to avoid headaches. We also require a urine sample before the IV appointment to check kidneys before we start the IV.
2. Must have substantial meals prior to IV therapy to avoid dizziness/nausea (even if you intermittent fast, it’s still required). Aim for at least 4-6 oz of protein, 2 Tbsp of fat (1⁄4 avocado, 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, fatty fish) and some fiber (1-2 cups of lettuce, gluten free grains).
3. After your IV treatment, you will need to drink another 2 liters (8 cups) of water that day. You just had a hypertonic solution that works best with more oral fluids to help your kidneys and liver process the therapy.

Post IV Therapy Care

1. Avoid alcohol for 3 days after IV therapy to improve detoxing your cells with the treatment.
2. Drink 12-16 cups of water daily after your IV for best benefit.
3. If you have diarrheal symptoms the day after therapy, please allow the body to flush this out and do not take Immodium or other anti-diarrheal medications.
4. Do a magnesium soak:
- 3 cups of epsom salts dissolved in bathtub, warm not excessively lot water temperature (magnesium sulfate or if sulfur sensitive, use magnesium chloride lakes, 2 cups for the solution).
-Bathe for 60 minutes prior to bedtime the day of your IV therapy or up to 2 times per week (separate by 3 days each session). Magnesium via the skin helps to draw out toxins from the bloodstream kicked out of cells by IV therapy and may help with muscle tension and headaches.
5. MEALS: try intermittent fasting, with a light meal in the evening on the day of your IV therapy, and doing a bone-broth morning meal the following day. For dinner the night of IV therapy, you may like to have a protein bar, a small piece of fruit, and a cup of bone broth for a lighter meal to help your body absorb more from the IV therapy.
6. You may be asked to use a detox/binder for 3 days after your IV treatment. Take 1-2 capsules of GI detox at 10:30 AM or at least 2 hours after or before a meal, once a day, starting the day after IV therapy. Let’s flush out the toxins your cells are trying to get rid of, that may be interfering with your best wellness.
7. Please contact the clinic with any questions or concerns regarding your IV treatment, including a severe headache, painful urination (not just frequency), severe back pain, or other unusual symptoms.
